Fruits are the oldest form of foods known to mankind. These form the base of foods of gods as per Vedas. Quran has also quoted that fruits like pomegranate, grapes, and figs are gifts from the heaven. Fruits or fruit juices are excellent sources in case of dehydration. The water absorbed by ill people adds advantage of providing minerals and sugar at the same time.

As these are dependable sources of vitamins, exert a tonic effects in the body. Citrus fruits like lemons, oranges, Indian goose berry, other like apples, papaya, guavas etc. when eaten as it is fresh and raw, makes vitamins to absorb completely in the skin. Fruits work wonder when taken in the form of raw and ripen state. Many of fruits contain carotene which gets converted in to vitamin A in body.

Always try to take the juice immediately after it is extracted from its fruits otherwise it start losing its medicinal properties.

Fruits or fruit juices act as very good diuretics as content like sodium, potassium and magnesium helps to urinate more which in turn greatly contribute to eliminate toxic matter out from the body.  As fruits contain very less sodium so make a good salt free diet.

Laxative Effects

The fibrous matter in fruits, cellulose aids in the smooth passage of the food in the gut or called digestive tract and allow easy passage of stools through bowels. Apples, guava, pears, are packed with good quality of fiber which are result giving in constipation and other digestive health issues.

Mineralizing Effects

If we talk about dry fruits like apricots, raisins, dates, these are rich in calcium and iron. These minerals are very essential for bones, joints and blood. Custard apple furnish calcium to the extent of 800 mg per fruit, which is sufficient to meet our daily requirement of this mineral.

Therefore we can say that fruits are highly beneficial in maintaining acid alkaline balance in body. They help to neutralize the toxic condition of various body organs and clears the channels. They clear the system of morbid waste and cater to the body’s requirement of natural sugar, vitamins and minerals.
