UTI Home Remedies!!
Very common infection among women is UTI – Urinary tract infection. Here is how to handle UTI’s with home remedies at home. Urethra is a thin tube that transports urine from urinary bladder to the outside of the body. Urinary tract infection involves kidneys, ureters, bladder and urethra. Infection can be of any part and if left untreated, can lead to serious complications.
Fever, shivering, pain and burning feeling while urinating, increased urine frequency could be very common symptoms of urinary tract infections. Increased pus cells in urine confirm this. Therefore, it is very important to handle carefully this condition without any delay. It is very common in children also besides bed wetting. Let’s try to manage this infection at home first with wonderful UTI home remedies.
UTI Home Remedies
First and foremost, comes ample of plain water. Drink at-least 10 to 12 glasses of water daily to clear toxins via urine.
Soak 1 tsp full of coriander seeds/dhaniya beej in a cup of water overnight. Filter and drink next day morning empty stomach. You can pound the seeds to have more extract. Have this daily for at least 15 days. Fresh coriander leaves also serve in fantastic way
Cinnamon or dalchini is another herb that can be counted well in excellent home remedy for UTI. It can be consumed in the form of powder. Take half tsp of cinnamon powder with 1 tsp. full honey, daily once or twice. It can also be taken by mixing in a glass of water.
Cucumber juice is another wonderful home remedy for UTI. It is very cooling in nature and has got natural diuretic properties. Take out fresh juice and take in the quantity of 30 ml to 50 ml twice or thrice daily.
Amla or Indian goose berry is another herb full of antioxidant properties and vitamin C which works really well to combat urinary tract infections. Amla juice – 20 ml mixed with equal quantity of water or honey can be taken on daily basis for 10 to 15 days.
Cranberries and grapes are also good sources to deal with UTI. Increase their intake during infection. Both are considered very good natural diuretics which remove toxic matter out.
Another very simple and effective UTI home remedy is watermelon. Have water melon as it is or extract juice and have at least 1 glass daily for few days.
Rose petals jam is also very useful to keep such infections at bay. You get it easily in market or can prepare at home yourself. Rose petals and sugar is required to make rose petals jam. If you are interested to make it at home, use very less sugar. Rose petals are very cooling which give soothing effects.
Buttermilk or what we call in India – lassi or chaach is another one among amazing UTI home remedies. Drink a glass of buttermilk daily. You can add coriander juice, leaves also as mentioned above. If you do not have buttermilk, just dilute half glass of water in half glass of curd and drink it. Mint leaves or mint juice can also be added to have extra benefits.
If there is a lot itching and scrapping feeling in vulva/private area, one can wash the area with buttermilk or curd. Keep for 5 to 10 minutes and wash with plain water.

Also opt for hygienic diet and life style. Have very balanced and natural diet including fruits, vegetables and plenty of water. Wash your undergarments daily and do not use chemical based products which further aggravate condition.
