Liver is the largest inner organ of our body which has got lot of daily tasks to perform. It is involved in working of multiple systems like digestive system, regulation of fat storage, menstrual cycle in females etc.

Due to urbanization, people prefer readymade, packed and junk foods to fill stomach. Time has changed so our daily routine. People party and enjoy boozing too though they know how badly it’s going to affect their liver. Yes if you load your liver with unwanted things which it really do not need, for sure it will start losing its normal functions.

Turmeric

Turmeric, called Haldi in India has got very special role to deal with various health ailments. It acts as an anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant and detoxifier thus flushes out harmful toxins from the body. Curcumin is active compound of turmeric that regenerates dead cells which are responsible for normal liver functioning.

 

Take half tsp pure turmeric with 1 tsp of honey once or twice daily.

You can also add half tsp in a glass of milk to drink daily. Haldi Wala Doodh is like Nani Maa ka Nuskha. For sure you will find it very helpful.

 

Licorice

Licorice

Licorice, called Muhlethi in Hindi is wonderful home remedy to detox liver. Glycyrrhizin is active compound of licorice that has been proved effective in detoxifying liver.

 

You can boil a small piece of licorice in water like you add cardamom or garlic to make masala tea. Milk can be added, depends how you like.

You can see your level of transaminase enzymes within range after consuming this licorice tea for few weeks.

 

Aloe Vera

Aloe vera is very common household plant all over the world. It benefits people with liver problems in several ways. Aloe vera reduces buildup of toxins and also helps to remove which are already there. It is also packed with polysaccharides that act as rejuvenator. Also it neutralized the acids in to neutral salts.

 

You can get easily Aloe Vera juice at any herbal store but make sure you pick the authentic one.

Mix 20 ml of Aloe Vera juice in a glass of water to drink empty stomach every morning.

 

Flax seeds

Liver enzymes are proteins which get secreted into the blood. When liver is damaged, level of those enzymes gets increases (sometimes decreases also) in blood. The phytoconstituents present in flax seeds help the body hormones to bind with the receptor site and prevent them from getting circulated in the vascular system of body.

 

 

Flax seeds are commonly known as Alsi ke beej in North India. It is available in powder form too or you can also make powder easily at home.

Make use of flax seeds powder over salad and bread.

Indian Goose Berry is commonly known as Amla. This is amazing in repairing damaged liver cells in natural and effective way. Amla is packed with plenty of vitamin C along with immune modulator and hepatoprotective properties. Regular use flushes out toxins and rejuvenates liver cells.

Eat fresh amla fruit. Daily you can take 2 to 3. Grate them to have in salad.

You can also drink 20 ml Amla Juice in a glass of plain water every morning empty stomach.
