So winter days are here and it is the time to opt for few foods which keep you healthy from inside and protect you from cold, flu and other respiratory disorders. Though there are so many seasonal fruits, vegetables and other eating stuff to choose but here we are with top 5 must have foods during winter days.

 

Carrot

Carrot is a root vegetable that is orange in color, crisp and sweet in taste. It is a winter crop widely used in salad. Carrots are just wonderful to eat during winters.

Carrot has an ample amount of beta carotene which gets converted into vitamin A in liver and vitamin A gets transferred into rhodopsin which is a purple substance required for eyes health and also helps you to deal with various respiratory health issues.

Carrots are also packed with antioxidants which boost your immune system so that you stay away from cold, cough and fever too.

 

Jaggery

Jaggery has high amount of nutrients than sugar. It also contains iron, vitamins and minerals which are needed to stay healthy.

Jaggery removes the toxins out from body, purifies blood, and acts as a digestive agent and good sweetener in a healthy manner.
